A state-of-the -art mobile
computerised radiography van to treat TB was inaugurated by the madras
High Court Judge Govindarajan here recently.
The Rotary Club of Madrs Southwest has undertaken the Huma Shasum
TB Care Project under which around 100 schools and villages across
the State would be covered.
Supriya Sahu, Joint Secretary, govemment of Tamilnadu, requested
the Rotarians to take the facility to the slum and remote areas where
people do not have access to medicine.
Benjamin Cherian, district governor, Rotary International (District
3230), said the TB care project with its mobile facility would be
available to the people free of cost.
Dr Hisamuddin Papa, managing director, Huma Specialists Hospital
and Research Centre Private Ltd and also president of Rotary Club
of Madras Southwest, said the mobile computerised radiography van
was the first-of-its kind in the country and was the dream project
of the Rotary Club.
